Consumer Medical Information Site
Purchased by WebMD - Fall, 2000
OnHealth.com
Headquartered in Seattle, OnHealth Network Company was a leading Internet health information and services resource. The site offered integrated solutions to effectively manage customers' health and well being. OnHealth.com was the single most trafficked health site on the Web in 2000 with 5.2 million unique users.

OnHealth was acquired by WebMD in the fall of 2000. This merger resulted in the integration of OnHealth's content with the WebMD and the subsequent removal of the stand-alone, OnHealth website.

Alki Technology was a prime provider of software solutions for the former health site focusing on tools to gather and analyze site traffic and user feedback. These tools include the Alki Technology Custom Survey Generator.

Custom Survey Generator
This application includes the Survey Administrator, a simple, DHTML interface for creating user surveys to be published to a site such as OnHealth. This administrative interface (demonstrated below) allows for the creation of new surveys, the creation and editing of questions for those surveys, and the setting of several survey-specific parameters such the begin and end date for the display of the survey, the frequency with which the survey should be presented to users, the maximum number of user responses desired, etc.

Surveys
From the main Surveys tab, an administrator can create and modify surveys. Single-clicking a survey displays the survey properties to be view or modified. Double-clicking will drill down to the Questions for that survey.

Questions
Like surveys, question properties can be view and modified. These properties include the number of possible answers to the question, whether the question is multiple choice or not, the data type of the response, data constraints such a number ranges, and whether or not answering the question is optional.

Question Details
Once an administrator has set all the question properties, he may then create the labels to be displayed for those questions with multiple choices.
